Wake Me Up Before You Go Go: Review

15:47

Hello, hello. A few months back my beloved Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation ran out and being a student I had to search for a more reasonably priced replacement. I had heard good things about Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer so I opted for the Wake Me Up Foundation. So what do I think? Read on to find out!

Firstly, coming in at a brilliant £8.99 this foundation caught my eye in Boots. I think I actually got mine for £7.99 on a deal a while back; Boots are so great with deals keep your eyes peeled folks. And for the price this product is most definitely worth it! It gives my skin great coverage and hides any blemishes or dark eye circles. However, it is quite thick so I would not recommend this product for oily skin. It would be too heavy I think, but for dry skin like mine it works a treat!

The foundation also has a little shimmery glitter in it, it is not noticeable at all on the face but once I've finished applying it I can often see my hand shimmering! This adds a really lovely effect that gives your face a natural glow. On the packaging the foundation is actually labelled as leaving a 'radiant glow' and has a 'anti-fatigue effect'. Hence, the name! In terms of packaging I have two words: simple and stylish.

I have the shade Ivory (100) although sadly this is probably a tiny bit dark for my skin. It does the job fine and will be great in the summer months. But for now, I will have to be very aware of tide lines. This is of course not a fault of the products. Instead, it is down to my bad judgement under florescent lights, along with tiredness.

Overall, I feel this is a brilliant foundation, especially if you are on a budget. I would definitely recommend. Just be aware if you have oily skin and chose you shade wisely! (Unlike me).
