Hello everyone, now I am by nooooo means an expert at make up. But, it is something that I absolutely adore. As a result I really like experimenting with new styles and looks. I've decided to share this purple / blue smokey eye look that I experimented with the other day. It's a really really simple and easy look to create. It's great to wear in the day to spice up your make up, or you could make it even darker and rock it for a night out. The choice is yours! Whichever you decided, I hope you enjoy this tutorial.
Disclaimer: I am not a make up artist or by an means amazing at make up this is just a look I decided to share with you for fun. I hope you like it but it's not perfect so please don't judge!
You Will Need:
-An angle eye shadow brush
-A white eye shadow
-A light purple eye shadow
-A blue eye shadow
-Black eye liner
-Mascara
-Benefit eye bright or a similar product (white eye liner)
Step One : Using your angle brush apply your white eye shadow all over the lid of your eye as a base. I am using Bobbi Brown's Angle Eye Shadow Brush and Estee Lauder's eye shadow Sugar Cube 30 in Satin from their Deluxe Eye Shadow Compact.
Step Two: Take your light purple and apply it to the corner of your lid and in the crease. Only take it in the crease until just under the highest point of your brow. I'm using the lilac shade from an incredibly old M&S compact!
Step Three: Take your dark blue and apply it at the corner of your lid and a little along the bottom of your eye lid. I didn't apply too much dark blue in fear of looking like I was emerging from a fight with a black eye. So firstly, I added a little and blended it with the lilac shadow to create a lovely purple shade and then just continued to apply it till I was happy with the colour. The dark blue I used was again from Estee Lauder's Deluxe Eye Shadow Compact (this is such a great palette it has so many amazing colours). I used Nocturnal Blue 68 in Satin.
Step Four: Take your black eye liner and apply a thin layer just underneath your eye lashes. If you want you could add a bit to your lid if you were going for a more evening appropriate look. My black eye liner is a crayon by Lancome it is Le Crayon Khol in Noir. Then take Benefit's Eye Bright and applied it just around the edges of my tear duct. This is great because it brightens your eye and gives your eyes a more feline shape.
Step Five: No look is complete without mascara. I am currently loving Rimmel's Scandal Eyes in 003 Extreme Black. Don't be put off by the tacky packaging it's a great product.
And there you have it! A purpley/blue smokey eye, a fresh look for during the day. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and let me know if you would like to see more things like this!
